This energizing training, offered as a 2-hour in-depth experience, prepares Head Start staff to design and implement strong transition practices that support children and families as they move into new classrooms, programs, and schools. Participants will explore strategies for easing transitions at every level, home to Early Head Start, Early Head Start to Head Start, Head Start to kindergarten, and beyond, ensuring continuity of care and learning. Through interactive activities and real-world application, staff will learn how to collaborate with families, schools, and community partners to make each transition smooth, supportive, and successful.
- By the end of this training, participants will be able to:
- Support Children’s Growth – Apply developmentally appropriate practices to help children adapt confidently to new learning environments.
