January 21st & 22nd l PFCE Bootcamp: Building Family Engagement and Support

  • This two-day virtual training equips Head Start and Early Head Start staff with the skills, strategies, and practices needed to strengthen family and community engagement. Participants will explore core concepts of family services, self-care, executive function, economic mobility, and the PFCE Framework. Through interactive activities, mindfulness practices, and group learning, participants will learn how to foster meaningful relationships with families, improve program quality, and support positive outcomes.
  • By the end of this training, participants will be able to:
    • Identify the benefits of practicing self-care as family services professionals.
    • Explain the importance of executive function skills in supporting productivity and effectiveness.
    • Apply the Coaching Model to strengthen outcomes for families.
    • Describe how the PFCE Framework can be used to enhance services and relationships with families.
    • Identify values and principles that guide effective family support.
    • Use standards of quality and updated Head Start Performance Standards to guide and assess their work.
